Charles Rennie Mackintosh

Austin. I think the well known Scottish Art Noveau designer would be proud of this beautiful rose named after him. Fully double, cupped, frilly blooms of dusky lilac purple appear in generous quantities from spring through to autumn. Strong bushy habit and an excellent fragrance. 1988.

Chianti

Austin. One of the first David Austin English roses to be bred and subsequently used as a parent in further red varieties. A vigorous shrub with blooms that have a powerful "old world" fragrance. Large purple maroon flowers appear in summer. Healthy dark green foliage. 1967.

Claire Rose

Austin. The delicate blush pink blooms have a perfect old fashioned cupped form and a generous amount of petals. The blooms which have a strong perfume fade to white with age. Repeats well, growth upright and vigorous. Just lovely. 1986.

Constance Spry

Climber. One of the first introductions in what are now known as English roses. Old fashioned cupped and full blooms in clear bright pink. Only flowers in early summer however the flowers are very long lasting. Delicious fragrance. Healthy and vigorous. Award of Garden Merit. 1960.

Ellen

Austin. Beautiful soft apricot blooms with a hint of warm bronze decorate this strong bush though-out the summer. The blooms are of good substance, fully double and enormous. Nice fragrance too. Stunning. PVR 1984.

Emanuel

Austin. Richly scented, large frilly blooms made up of 100 or more petals open to flat rosettes in shades of blush apricot and peachy pink. Extremely attractive and worthy of consideration. Named after the designers of Princess Diana's Wedding dress. 1985.

English Elegance

Austin. The name really describes the rose - an elegant fully double rose with an abundance of petals. Tones of salmon, copper and soft pink blend together beautifully and emit a gentle fragrance. Good strong grower. 1985. PVR.

Fishermans Friend

Austin. The blooms of this outstanding rose are beautifully formed and fragrant. The large buds open up to a cupped shape at first then form a delightful rosette. Deep garnet-crimson in colour. Strong upright growth habit. 1987 PVR.
