planting for fowls (from Bridget)
Thursday, 12th March 2009 09:31:49 PM

I have 2 ducks and 2 chooks in a fenced yard (approximately 16sqmetres). I'm keen to make this part of the garden more attractive and also provide some 'enrichment' for my birds. I'd like 1 or 2 shrubs either flowering, fruiting or both and some under-planting. Perhaps hostas to attract slugs for the ducks.

Any fruit trees probably would do ie Apples and plums you may want to consider different fruits like Amelanchier, small xmas plums etc
