When should I start pleaching titokis? (from When to pleach titokis?)
Friday, 18th January 2008 11:35:52 AM

I would like to pleach my NZ titokis. At what stage should I start this process ie. is the tree ever too small to start removing lower branches? And I don't want them too tall so should I remove the tips when it gets to the height I want?

Hi, as long as you leave some foliage on your young titoki you can begin removing branches from early on - in fact its better to do so before the branches are too woody. Yes you can remove the tips to keep them at the height you wish :)
