Potted roses (from The Wasteland)
Wednesday, 2nd July 2008 10:26:43 AM

Can anyone tell me what the best medium is for potting roses, and even more imnportantly, do I repot and change the mixture each year or just add rose fertilizer etc to the mix already there?

Only ever use commercially made potting mix as its is scientifically designed for pots as pots have quite different needs from soil. Feed only with a special pot fertiliser and feed for each season or for the longeveity of the product ie 3to 4 month slow release. A pot probably will need the mix replaced or a slightly larger pot every 2 to 3 years
