Just about any plant may be grown in a container and flexibility of planting and arranging can be more varied than permanent planting. As the seasons change, so does the suns path and containers can be moved according to the sun/shade needs of the plants.

You can also use container plants to show off a particular plant by displaying it in a prominent place when it is in bloom and retiring it to the back benches when its flowering time is over.
