Dense clump-forming bamboo with curving stems clothed with soft, fresh green leaves. An airy, graceful plant suitable for pool-sides, patios, feature gardens. Prefers well-drained soil and is drought tolerant. Although it looks good next to water it does not like wet feet. Evergreen.

The flowers are very pretty in white or pink with purple dots, growing in typical Bergamot fashion. Young leaves can be used in tea or for any gourmet dish, especially fish, where a strong lemon flavour would add interest. Attractive leathery large leaves and clusters of delicate flowers carried on upright spikes in winter to early spring. The flowers are enchanting, opening a crisp white and maturing to pale pink, creating drifts of pretty white to pale pink flowers displayed beautifully against contrasting foliage.

This gorgeous Bergenia has delicious clusters of white, bell-shaped flowers that fade to pink, appearing in late winter through into Summer. The foliage itself is green but has red tones in winter. Forms a nice tidy rosette. Easy to grow in sun or part shade. Hardy. Evergreen perennial.
