This is a hardy very early dwarf variety of broad bean that is an excellent choice for areas that are prone to winds and storms during the growing season as it has less tendency to blow down. It is an early, prolific cropper. Matures approx 11-13 weeks Compact vigorous plant with a concentrated pod set. Pods are short, thick and well filled approx 20-25cm long.

The bean plants are nitrogen fixing in your soil so they can also be used as a green manure.

Broad Beans. This tender and succulent, green seeded variety produces small, mild flavoured beans that are suitable for fresh use or freezing. Excellent crop for spring harvest. Matures approx 11-13 weeks. Green seeded cultivar approx 90cm tall. Evergreen has smaller beans than other cultivars. The beans remain bight green when cooked and have mild flavour.

For extended harvest, sow every 5-6 weeks during season. Working in Hauraki Peat before sowing will improve drainage.
