Bred in NZ Pacific Challenger produces an all green spear. Early to mid season variety. Yummy Asparagus packed full of vitamins and a very welcome early spring vegetable. Easy to grow but they do need a dedicated sunny spot with good drainage to mature and multiply. Plant crowns in trenches that have been back filled with mulch or compost. Perennial.

This is a hardy very early dwarf variety of broad bean that is an excellent choice for areas that are prone to winds and storms during the growing season as it has less tendency to blow down. Broad Beans. This tender and succulent, green seeded variety produces small, mild flavoured beans that are suitable for fresh use or freezing. Excellent crop for spring harvest. Matures approx 11-13 weeks. Green seeded cultivar approx 90cm tall. Evergreen has smaller beans than other cultivars. The beans remain bight green when cooked and have mild flavour.

For extended harvest, sow every 5-6 weeks during season. Working in Hauraki Peat before sowing will improve drainage.
