Roses are easy to grow and are amongst the most tolerant of plants. Obviously, with the correct feeding and cultivation techniques they will perform to their absolute best. However even if you are the most neglectful gardener you should still be able to enjoy the perfection of a rose bush in bloom. Hybrid Tea. Classic buds open to blooms of creamy white highlighted with a pinkish-red blush on the edges of the petals. Continuously in flower and very fragrant. Always pleases and lives up to its name. Exceptional cut-flower variety. Multi award winner from 1977. PVR.

Climber Floribunda. One of the very best red climbers - ever - and bred right here in NZ. An easy to grow and well behaved climbing rose that is nearly always in flower with semi-double, dark red blooms. Generally healthy,never fails to please and looks great growing along a fence. Multi award winner. 1976.

Damask. An enchanting old rose that became known around 1848 but is certainly older than that. The fully double purple blooms have an exquisite fragrance.
The new foliage has a bronze tinge to it that contrasts nicely with the bright green, more mature leaves.

Tea. A favourite Old World rose with translucent pink, cupped and nodding blooms that appear from spring right through to autumn. The blooms are double and have a delicious fragrance. AKA Comtesse de LaBerthe or Comtesse Ouwaroff - talk about an identity crisis but lovely all the same. 1857.
This rose has high susceptibility to downy mildew and we no longer stock it.

Gallica. Fully double pale pink blooms that carry a pleasant fragrance appear throughout summer. Dark grey-green foliage and an upright habit. Quite a vigorous grower that will tolerate poor soils and some shade. France 1829.

Floribunda. Sumptuous, old-fashioned, fully double blooms that are coloured a deep dusky purple and carry a sensuous spicy fragrance. Dark glossy green foliage and plenty of blooms throughout the season. Absolutely gorgeous. PVR 2001.
