Roses are easy to grow and are amongst the most tolerant of plants. Obviously, with the correct feeding and cultivation techniques they will perform to their absolute best. However even if you are the most neglectful gardener you should still be able to enjoy the perfection of a rose bush in bloom. Patio. A really showy, compact, patio rose with masses of bright, fire engine red blooms from summer through to autumn. Described as well behaved and named in special memory of the breeder's (late) sister Marie. Would look wonderful group planted or in a special container. PVR.

Climber Modern. This is an absolutely gorgeous rose, beautiful in bud opening to deliciously double, fully cupped blooms with the most heady fragrance. The petals are softest velvety pink. Very feminine and pretty, shows good disease resistance too. PVR. 1991.
'Nahema' is also the name of a revered scent made by Guerlain.

Climber. Large glowing red single blooms that gradually fade to a lighter shade. Delicious fragrance and healthy, robust growing habit. As it was bred in Australia you know that it is a sun lover. Lots of blooms from spring to summer, 1937.

Floribunda. A pretty rose named after a lovely lady - NZ Rosarian Nancy Steen. The abundant blooms are large, fully double, fragrant and borne in clusters. The colour is blush pink with a cream centre. Nice glossy dark bronze-green foliage. Bred in NZ 1976.
The late Nancy Steen also has a rose garden named after her in the Parnell Rose Gardens - Auckland. Lovers of roses and history should also check out her book 'The Charm of Old Roses'.

Climber - Wichuraiana rambler. A well loved and much admired rose with clusters of semi-double, soft pink blooms that are sweetly scented. The complementary foliage shows good disease resistance. Flowers continuously throughout the summer and will tolerate poorer soils and some shade. 1930.
New Dawn was voted the World Federation of Rose Societies favourite rose in 1997 - 67 years after it was first introduced - now that's special. Also has a Royal Horticulture Society Award of Garden Merit (AGM).

Hybrid Tea Std. This large and showy rose has buds that open to shades of buttery lemon in the very centre but fade off to pure white. A lovely rich and musky perfume. Rich green foliage and growth is robust and healthy.
