Boronia are generally small dense shrubs with delicate perfumed flowers appearing from late winter though to springtime. Boronia varieties may have clusters of little star-shaped flowers or bell-shaped pendulous flowers along its branches; these cut flowers add texture, colour and perfume to floral arrangements, making them a florist’s favourite.
These hardy easy-care shrubs prefer dappled light, well-drained soil and respond well to a light pruning after their flowering season is over. They grow well in containers, in the garden and thrive in coastal areas.
Boronia with about 160 species of flowering plants, is of the citrus family Rutaceae, most hail from Australia, with a few native to New Caledonia,

We love the yellow boronia. It is one of the most heavenly perfumed flowers and has the strongest fragrance of all the Boronias. A small dense upright shrub which produces masses of yellow perfumed flowers in spring. Prefers moist well drained soils. Frost hardy.

Don't be disappointed if your Boronia does not have a long life, Mother Nature designed it that way as in Australia it usually naturally regenerates from seed after being destroyed by fire. Pruning immediately after flowering may assist re-growth.
