Boronia are generally small dense shrubs with delicate perfumed flowers appearing from late winter though to springtime. Boronia varieties may have clusters of little star-shaped flowers or bell-shaped pendulous flowers along its branches; these cut flowers add texture, colour and perfume to floral arrangements, making them a florist’s favourite. These hardy easy-care shrubs prefer dappled light, well-drained soil and respond well to a light pruning after their flowering season is over. They grow well in containers, in the garden and thrive in coastal areas. Boronia with about 160 species of flowering plants, is of the citrus family Rutaceae, most hail from Australia, with a few native to New Caledonia,

Boronia Denticulata - Mauve Boronia. The Mauve Boronia displays masses of Lilac Mauve starry flowers in winter and Spring. The leaves are strongly aromatic, small and light-green in colour. Easily grown in a lime-free soil. Prune hard after flowering.
