Intricate, delicate, fascinating... these are words that spring to mind when I think of Leucospermum flowers. Their common name, pincushion flower, certainly gives a resemblance of what they look like but when you really look at them they are so much more. Predominately native to South Africa these plants like a warm setting. Full sun is paramount and excellent drainage too so these guys don't get wet feet. These range from low growing ground covers to small trees and all have beautifully, colourful, pincushions at the end of their branches.
Produces long stems of salmon red flowers that are excellent for picking from Spring into Summer. Florist love them. A dense bush that can be kept compact through picking and pruning. Likes full sun and good drainage. Evergreen
