Weeping. A showy semi-weeping form of Crabapple that has gently cascading branches draped with blush white flowers in spring. These are followed by small brilliant red fruits. Good autumn foliage colour and attractive bare branch structure in winter. Plant in a sunny spot. Deciduous. Est.10yr.growth.

Malus are relatively hardy and tolerant and therefore easy to grow. However they are happiest in a sunny well drained position in deeply worked soil. If possible shelter from strong wind.

Standard. This Mandarin is very popular in Queensland where it was discovered as a chance seedling in 1888. The virtually thorn-less tree produces large fruit with a thin easy peel skin. The flesh is tender and juicy.Ripens around July. If left on the tree you will notice the skin gets 'puffy'. Evergreen.

As with all Citrus make sure you cut the fruit off the tree rather than just pull. Your Mandarin will grow well in a warm, well drained fertile spot in the garden with protection from harsh frost. Also suitable for container growing with regular feeding and watering.

Standard Native. A handsome specimen tree for sun or part shade. The stiff narrow leaves are a beautiful golden shade and complement the reddish brown bark. Slow growing, hardy and tolerant of all conditions except wet 'feet'. Evergreen.

Totara were a valuable timer source in early NZ. Maori also used large specimens to craft their war canoes. The peeling bark was used for roofing material and for fashioning food baskets.
