Standard 90cm. Lavandula. A top performing 'stoechas' lavender with a profusion of plump flower heads that appear for months on end. Lovely aromatic gray foliage that responds to regular trimming. Happy in a sunny well drained position in a container or the garden. Evergreen.

aka Lemon Meyer Standard

Citrus. NZ's most popular lemon and deservedly so. Very juicy and a really good cropper. Once established the tree will seldom be without a lemon. More tolerant of cold than many other lemons. Can you feel and Gin and Tonic coming on? Happiest in a sunny well drained position.

To keep your Lemon Standard looking good feed and water regularly. Trim new shoots below the main branches. Remember always cut off ripe fruit rather than pulling. Citrus Information Pages

aka Fringe Flower

An attractive and easy care shrub with arching branches of deep burgundy wine foliage. In spring and summer dark pink 'fringed' flowers appear and these carry a pleasant fragrance. Easy to grow in sun or part shade, prefers well drained soil. Presented here as a topiary standard.

aka Contorted Black Locust

Do you want something really different to feature in the garden or a container? The twisted contorted branches and lacy foliage of 'Lace Lady' will certainly attract attention. White fragrant flowers may occur in summer and nice yellow autumn foliage. Height will depend on graft. Deciduous.

Robinia are generally tolerant of poor soil but they like moisture and protection from strong wind. Flowering is possible but not guaranteed.

Add a touch of the Mediterranean with this informal standard of silvery foliage. Looks wonderful combined with whites or blues. Happiest in a warm, sunny well drained spot. Lavender blue flowers appear throughout the year. Clips well. Suitable for a container. Evergreen.

The secret to your Teucrium std looking good is regular trimming however it is important that your last trim for the summer is done no later than mid March.

A compact shrub with quite coarse green foliage, carmine red buds appear in late winter and open to white blooms tinged pink. Flowers are lightly perfumed and followed by dark blue berries. Easy to grow in sun or light shade. Responds well to pruning. Evergreen.
