Chinese Redbud. This pretty deciduous tree dons large rounded glossy dark purple leaves. Its tight dense habit make it perfect for smaller areas. Strong, bright pink sweet pea-like blooms are borne on the bare stems in early spring. Named for the colour of it's glossy wine coloured leaves.

This is a crossed in breeding between Forest Pansy and Texas White. Outstanding dark glossy dark purple foliage is best developed in full sun. Heat resistant, strong bright pink flowers that are self cleaning. Low seed set.
