A lovely choice for a feature or shade tree in the garden or in a large open space.
Dainty fern-like leaves emerge in spring giving a gentle weeping form; leaves come in varying shades of green through to soft golds, depending on the variety.
Gleditsias are fast growing, easy to grow and tolerant of most conditions, avoid very strong winds. Deciduous.
Weeping Honey Locust. This graceful weeping tree will add softness and interest to the garden. The foliage falls in fronts of delicately divided fresh green foliage that turns gold prior to leaf fall in autumn. Plant in the sun in well drained soil. Special. Deciduous. Est.10yr.growth.

We must like this tree because it's growing in our garden. Very aptly named as the foliage is delicately divided and 'lacy' and you guessed it, a ruby wine colour. The foliage has bronze tones as it matures. Forms a graceful round headed small tree. Lovely to sit under. Deciduous.

Honey Locust. A quick growing, attractive specimen tree with dainty fern-like foliage. The new leaves are bright lime yellow turning to a softer green as summer progresses, finally turning vibrant gold before leaf fall. Graceful pendulous habit, easy to grow and lovely to sit under. Est.10yr.growth.
This particular cultivar of Gleditsia is thorn-less and makes a very attractive medium sized tree. The leaf colour will be at its best if grown in an open sunny spot. One of my favourites.
